HISTORY OF WENDY'S PLAY AND PRE-SCHOOL
School started in 1991 with 2 children when a friend asked Wendy to look after her child because she had to
go back to work. Wendy, who is a qualified teacher, was a stay at home mom at the time, due to her being at home with her second child.
By the end of the first month Wendy was looking after 8 children, and so the school was formed.
The first classroom was 1/4 of the Orange class as it is now. We continued to expand, by building the next
classroom which is now the Turquoise class, and enlarging the Orange class.
We then bought the property at No.10 Hofsanger and moved the school there. The Yellow class was then built
to enable us to accommodate another class. The school continued to grow and so the classrooms at No 12
Tinktinkie were re-opened.
Then in 2004 Wendy and her family moved out of the section of No. 12 that was their family home, and the
school took over with 7 classrooms in total over both properties.
In 2007 we opened up our Aftercare and Holiday care facilities.
In 2008 the administration offices at No. 12 were built, and in 2009 the Red class was extended.
In January 2013 the offices, Orange Lambs and Senior classes relocated to No 8 Hofsanger.
